Default Passenger Side Lock Switch

Some time ago my passenger sid elock switch stopped working on my 1978 corvette. I ordered a new switch and then replaced it. The switch still does not work. Oh and the drivers side switch still works.

If you have a volt meter or a test light you can test to see if you have voltage going to the switch.

Its time to pull the door panel...A lot of times the PDL wiring pigtail harness (that your switch plugs into) will have some frayed wires and not allow enough voltage to pass through. I just replaced both of my pigtails. Also check that double black ground wire going to the door frame. Check/clean the contacts at the door lock actuator as well. Check the actuator to see if the rubber boot is still good. If you are getting voltage to the actuator, try to move the rod from the actuator (to the lever) with your hand. Its a little difficult to get your hand in there but it can be done. This will verify that the actuator rod is not frozen...Let us know.
