Declared victory on the stubborn flare nuts on my '73's proportioning valve last night. What a nightmare!
Anyways, some of the brake fluid spilled on the frame and took off a bit of paint. I want to repaint the area before it rusts. What brand/type of paint would be recommended to match the factory original?
It depends on whether the frame still has the original paint, or not. Original paint was semi-gloss (I believe). Mine had factory paint and I used Rustolem semi-gloss, which was a good match. It has held up fine.
