headlight help request
had planned on getting to the vacuum system soon, but it has reared it's ugly head now. The headlights came up (passenger side with help), but will not go down. Check valve? And aren't there two of them? Replace both?

Hi TZN,
I believe it's a good idea to first buy a vacuum pump with a gauge (like a Mity-Vac) and trouble shooting guide (like the one from Dr. Rebuild) before you start replacing parts.
Replacing parts can get VERY expensive very fast until you finally replace the failed component.
I also wouldn't touch the vacuum system without the 70 GM CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL.

I am going to read through the troubleshooting guide that Mike linked to this thread; thanks! I'll probably go ahead and order the guide and valve and filter (to make the minimum purchase requirement) from the Doc, and troubleshoot and see what I need. Thanks for the help, guys!
