strut rods

are the right and left strut rods for the rear different?

how can you tell which is for which side? Which way do they face or does it matter?

Does not matter. The bushings are the same size on both ends.

The answer is either yes or no depending on what year your car is and if you're talking about stock GM parts or not.

Check to make sure they're true before you install them. A few years ago I bought a pair through a NAPA store (made by Moog) and didn't really notice anything until I painted them. Then it became obvious that one was bowed. It was brand new in a sealed box- no damage to the box so I have no idea how it could have been damaged during shipping- neither did the store. They exchanged it w/o a problem. Just a heads up.
