PO2 hubcaps
i just purchased a set of these from the flea-bay. i want to clean these up as much as possible. i need to know how much i can dismantle them to facilitate a good re-furbishing. i see the screws on the back to remoe the cap and there are more screws towards the outer portion but i'm not sure what comes apart when i remove them.

I just bought a set there also, and intend to take them apart to clean and repaint the black sections. But I'm curious how the dings can be taken out. One thing that makes them very expensive to restore are the center caps @$55 EACH. The emblems alone are @$25 each.

You will essentially get three peices out of them; cap, white metal spoke casting, and the stainless stamped wheel cover. The weight of these wheelcovers comes from the casting used for the spoke arrangement.
