Default Interior colour question for 82

Are slate and silver-grey the same colour? The Black Book lists my interior colour as silver-grey. Many of the parts catalogues for repro parts list the colour as slate. I need some interior pieces but don't want to end up with the wrong colour. Thanks.

Yes, from my experience they are the same color.

Silver Gray is the correct name for the interior, that is what GM called it. Besides Slate, I've seen it listed as just "Gray" in some parts suppliers catalogs. I'm not sure where the Slate name came from, but from what I've seen, you should be ok ordering either, as long as it's listed for an 82. To be sure, ask your vendor to confirm that the gray they're selling is 1982 Trim Code 132.

81's built at Bowling Green were also available with the Silver Gray Interior. St. Louis 81's were offered with a silver interior also, but it was more of a pure silver color. It was very similar to the 78 Pace Car's trim, though slightly darker.

Tally-

Here is a carpet sample picture of the interior colors. In this picture you'll see two numbers on it, one on the left is the carpet color code and the one on the right is the interior color code. For example, all interior items in gray will end in the code 68.

If you need items we have them in a sale section for forum members and I just turned on the discount code again for the new sale which is to start Friday... Items that are in a category that end in a 10 are eligible for an additional 10 percent discount. You must enter your sales code DRWH3A on the web site check out and receive the additional savings Here is the link to the items in the forum special section for you car! http://willcoxcorvette.com/advanced_...t+%23&x=24&y=7
