Brake Shudder SOLVED
Anyway, there was what felt like a rotor wobble issue, that came on after replacing some calipers. Checking the normal stuff, up front, rotor run-out, tightening wheel bearings etc, and the problem was not going away.
Working out the back the reason for the problem showed up. When buying the calipers, also brought their house brand pads. When assembled with the new pads, the friction material extended beyond the od of the rotors, so applying the brakes would result in the pads rubbing on the outside edges of the rotors, which are not concentric. So there was the simulation of a brake rotor shudder problem.
The problem would normally be solved by replacing with quality made with spec pads, but being cheap, I just whiz wheel the top, edge of the the 4 pads.
