Cannot close door
This sounds silly but last night the passenger side door on my 77 c3 ceased latching when I shut the door. The latch mechanism seems to work - i can push down on it with a screwdriver and latch it similar to how it would latch had it hit the striker if the door had closed. It unlatches without problem when I use either the outside or inside door handle. But if I shut it against the striker it will not latch. Anyone else see this before? Thanks!

This happened to me. Remove the interior door trim to access the mechanism. Give it a good cleaning & relube. Mine work perfectly now. You may need to remove the whole thing if it's really gummed up with old grease & grime.
