I`m attaching the trim to my new door panels and was wondering what do you use to attach the trim pieces that are riveted to the door panels. I am guessing that I need to grind the small rivets off from the back side and use something to reattach the trim piece with.
I used a Dremel to grind/cut the [swedged] heads off those pins; then just used 2-part epoxy to created a new 'head' on the ends of those pins when I transferred it to the new panel. It's been that way for 5+ years with no problem.
Thats the deal thanks I may slip a washer over the pin and epoxy it on there. Thats why I love this forum. I had to take 4 weeks away from the car to have spinal fusion surgery on my neck and I am really glad to be back on the car again
If you are back working on the car that quickly, you must be doing well on your recovery. Congrats on the successful surgery! Just take it slowly at first...don't overdo it.

What they said SKip, take it easy afterward. I had mine, and felt wonderful till I went back to work and bumped my head standing up too quickly under a rail car. Most of my problems have returned and they say there isn't anything showing to cause it. Make sure you continue the therapy exercises, they do help.
Thanks a bunch guys they fused c-4, c-5 and c-6 and used a cage and screws. I was really sore for about 2 weeks but now I only have a zinger or two a day down my arms and they are gettins less and less. Have to wear some sort of bone stimulator for a couple of months but it is a thousand percent better. I have no idea how it happened I just woke up one morning in agony.
