Default Engine Rebuild Question

Alright so im gonna rebuild two Chevy engines this winter. A 350 and a 327. Im debating if i should just get a rebuild kit for both of them or do it piece by piece. Im leaning more to piece by piece because i wanna put in a comp cam, forged pistons, etc. What do you think is best?

Also what types of stuff do i put in to help increase the HP? Im not gonna put a supercharger on it so i want high compression. Will i need one of these if i do high compression? http://www.shopatron.com/products/pr....0.0.0.0?pp=8&

Also is there anyone here who is patient and wont mind answering all of my questions over PM? Im starting to feel like im hogging up the board with all my threads

I've built an engine or two, I might not have all the answers but I'd be happy to help out with some questions.

For a good basic inexpensive rebuild kit it is hard to beat the Northern Auto Parts kits. I believe they are a forum sponsor as well.
