No sir, good catch. There are three chrome items on my engine that were not stock that way. The air cleaner cover should be black. The oil fill cover should be blue. And the master brake cylinder cover should be tarnished gold I call it. I have all three original items and all are correct in color, I was just dressing up the engine like you suggested you wanted to do as well. For NCRS I would put my original parts back on the car. The other part not original is the exhaust tips, these are chrome add ons and those are coming off soon.

Sorry if any of this is not clear but ask away and I will be glad to try and help. Here is my other 77, it is way not stock.

I then put the after market wheels from Orange onto Red for the summer and it adds a nice look.

The beauty of it is that you can do as much or as little to your modified car as you want, after all, it is your car, so have fun with it.

Looks like a nice clean car. I won't guess on the price, but it looks like a fun car to drive w/o a lot of work to put back into it. Good Job!
enjoy your new ride!

Thanks I will,!! The guy I purchased it from has 3 more books, some more new parts, and some new oil filters he's going to give me next week. He is also putting together a disk with all the photos he took while he was restoring the car.

Now that is a great thing to get. Those photos will be invaluable to you to see what he did and how he did it. This will be a very nice addition. Good score.

So where in Florida are you located?

Just to be clear on this horn button , I have seen references to it being both stainless or aluminum.
It's actually diecast potmetal with a brushed chromed finish.
Here is a pic front and back showing the casting marks and also the pitting under the chrome, common to aged, neglected, plated potmetal. Same stuff as the speedo and tach bezels.
