Sounds and looks like you found a good car from the pictures that I could see. The bad things you quoted that are not right, worn out or not working on these cars is small potatoes compaired to what a lot of new owners have to do to the car when we first get them.
Even though it's a 77 your a very lucky man to have all the doc's and list of owners for your car.
I dont know what a 77 is worth these days and apologize if I'm way out in left field but you may have bought it for 10 to 11K which to me would be a good deal or paid over 15K amd maybe not such a great deal.
Congratulation!
lol. seriously very nice looking car. doesnt look molested and might not cost you too much to maintain if all work was done well. the things that you are aware that are wrong do not seem too major. take your time shake her down and prioritize what you want to tackle first unless you have unlimited time and money.
I could only gues at value, $14k to the right person?? enjoy
Looks like a nice clean car. I won't guess on the price, but it looks like a fun car to drive w/o a lot of work to put back into it. Good Job!
Thanks, Took me 3-months of looking. Went in the paper and online at 4pm, went to take a look at 730. And walaa. I originally wanted a stick and L-82. But I have a soft spot for the pumpkin cars. And when I seen how meticulous this guy was and the reciepts. Then the underneath- I new it was to good for me to pass up. I have seen so many recks. I was the very first person to look at it also. I gave the guy 11500. He originally wanted 13k. To me it's worth it. Plus I have a smile alll day long. Feel like im 17 again....

Looks like a very nice car. I can tell you that buying one and having to do all of that work to bring it to that condition would easily cost more than what you bought for so I think you have done well. Enjoy your new toy. If it were in my garage I know I would. It looks great.
Interesting, any early car fender alarm and a later blue engine.
Early production for 77s had the fender alarm with no flags. a little later they added the flags. A little later still, they put the alarm in the door lock so only the flags remained on the fender. Still an earlier production car though, and a very nice example.

Did the early productions have the color blue? I remeber reading the first (i think 3000) came orange/red then switched to blue. Also did they come with two mirrors?
