Hood Pop
I took my 68 to the Ocean City MD car show last weekend. A great show and good weather. The new 383 I put in this spring ran perfectly.The only "Panic Attack" I had was coming home on the PA turnpike. At some construction by Lansdale I hit a bump at 70 MPH and both hood latches popped open. The hood lifted about 2" and stayed like that till I pulled over to close the hood. Lucky Corvettes are hinged in the front and latched in the back!!!

Have you adjusted the cable on the hood? There's a fine line between having it too tight and the hood not latching well and too loose and it not releasing when you pull the hood release.
