Mine's era-proper. No mirror. Not an issue for me because I ride 2 wheeled so much that car or bike, I never change lane or even lane position without a shoulder-check. It's reflex.

My 15 yr old daughter will soon be of driving age and you can bet some of her training miles will be in the vette.

Not only will she love her 'training', it'll force her to learn to do shoulder checks, lol.

Car salesmen at dealers flogged passenger side mirrors at the time of new car sale just like any other option, it just happened to be installed by the dealer prior to delivery. That makes it 'era proper' in my book.

The original owner of my car had no idea that it was not installed at the factory. The mirror date code is about 8 months before the trim tag date.

The deduction in NCRS judging is a whopping 0.0004% Ouch!

I put a right side chrome mirror on my '76.. Same style as the left... They are my semi-HUD's.. They fold in at 80mph!! I'm planning on putting the "sport" mirrors on soon...

symmetry.

the factory didnt install it because they were trying to save a buck. having a corvette is a little opulent to begin with so why not splurge and get the extra mirror to finish off the car.

The factory doesnt put floor mats in cars now days either but i bet most people get them...
