Does this happen often while driver your C3?
Now I remember why I vowed to never again ride a motorcycle on America's roads. The Vettes do draw attention. I get hassled mostly by Mustang guys. The larger SUV's & pickups also try and intimidate me with the tailgating routine.
Several times I have had police cars tailgate me at night. Dunno if this is so they can get a better look at the Vette or perhaps see if they can trap me by getting me to accelerate to get away from the tailgating, thereby breaking the speed limit.

Same here. After being run off the road more than once, I decided to give the bike up.

Way back when I moved to NC, I had a Porsche 914-6. Driving home one night, with the wife, a car began tailgating as we were headed down a road that had a very curvy section. I lit it up and lost the idiot in the esses, only to have those blue lights show up way down the road after it had become straight again.
State trooper gets out of his cruiser and starts reading me the riot act, until I start telling him what a stupid SOB he was for tailgating us and endangering our lives with his utter stupidity....
The result was that he was reprimanded by his watch commander...

But when I drive my Magnum wagon I'm just another shlub on the road and it's a whole nother ball game! I can't believe the differance in how people are between the two vehicals.
I used to drive a conversion van every day. That was the worst! NOBODY wants to be behind a van! I've had more close calls in that then I have on my motorcycle! I can see the person in the car clearly and they rip out in front on me like I wasn't even there!
You owned her!

Even in it's rough shape, I still get looks. Some kid at the gas station commented "man, that thing looks like it goes fast". I said "Yes, it does". I meant looks, not goes. It's a painfully original '75
