Default Header back exhaust kit - who makes them?

I've been looking at options for my 75. I know Corvette Central and Pypes makes a full exhaust. I looking for a dual 2.5" stainless
w/X-pipe. Thinking of either Magnaflow or Spintech muffs. Magnaflow only list a crossmember back.

Any others or suggestions

I bought and installed the Pypes system on mine. It was only from the crossmember back. I had to buy some Hedman intermediate pipes from Summit to connect to the headers and they required some modifications also.

Are you using longtube headers? I found the Hedman intermediate pipes and look like they work with shorty headers.

So nobody makes a header back system?

that's right, too many different headers to make a complete system without the headers included to be able to guarantee the fit.....If you already have headers the solution would be a custom muffler shop to finish the job.....

Every header is different in where the outlets are, size, angle, etc. There are so many different headers on the market that it would be cost prohibitive for a manufacturer to offer a system for every conceivable options.

I am running long tubes. They do make a down pipe that connects to the stock manifold and hooks to their pipes at the crossmember. As said earlier, too many different brands of headers out there for them to come up with a fix for all.

my pypes system was complete with exception of a small section to get me to the headers. i have ball joint headers that came with that connection so it was pretty easy if you have a welder. sure a shop would set you up pretty cheap. flat flange headers would have been a completely different story as exhaust and headers arent likely a straight shot.

So far I've found a Pypes and Corvette Central kit thatis from the cat back. I can buy the head pipe from the header and mate it up that way. That Hooker kit is the same but it's 2.25" and I want 2.5"
I might just buy an X pipe and have a local shop make something. At this point, I'm just getting started on the car and don't expect to need exhaust until February or so.

Your lucky day: I have a brand new, unused 2-1/2" X-pipe made by Dr GAS - the best. $95.00 shipped.

Like others have noted, you won't find a one-size-fits-all kit because there is no standardization for header geometry. I'm going through the same thing at the moment. I have the Summit Racing headers, and I was about the pull the trigger on this x-pipe kit ...

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/JEX-XPK6/?rtype=10

comes with the 'X', 4 extensions, and 2 collector extensions with the 3 bolt flanges already attached so that simplifies my life a little From there, I think can bend and weld some straight pipe to fill in the gaps. That's a 3" setup though, but there are similar 2.5" kits like this one ...

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BIG-53622FLT/

good luck with whatever you go with!

Shorty headers and no 'X' pipe ... waste of money IMHO.
