I found that if you cut the reflectics just right ...it lays pretty flat and forms well to the surface without spraying any adheasive and just taped the seams to hold it in place. By all means.............don't let me deter you from gluing the reflectics to to the body, but remember........ if you glue it and need to remove it later for any reason..............GOOD LUCK
the green tape was just for markup,I did use foil tape for final instal...no glue
New carpet with juke backing from al knock's. I only glued the carpet to the middle/bulkhead wall behind the seats. when FITTED right most of the rug lays out to the right contour and shape . the seatbelt area under the seats plus the seats themselve's hold the two front rugs in place and the doorsill holds the rest. once all the trim is in place......... the rug really can't move because it's well secured by most of the trim
The 3M spray adhesive works just fine. You don't want to use something like Liquid Nails, as it just makes a mess and is overkill on the level of adhesive needed. And, you only need it on vertical surfaces and on the areas where your feet will need to apply force [so that the Reflectix won't slip when you 'work' it]. I used aluminum foil tape for my joints so it would look like the inside of a White Castle burger joint when I got done. Well, until the carpet went down, anyway. I also used the 3M spray for laying the carpet on the Reflectix. It worked OK for me.
