I purchased a set of like new Chevrolet scripted valve covers painted Chevy orange, the paint I don't think is original but it looks like an old finish. There is a very light rust film on the inside of the covers. They are 1955-1957 for 265 and 283 engines they have the offset holes. An old guy had them in his garage on a shelf for over forty years. Do these have any history with the early Vettes? This was an impulse buy not sure what I am going to do with them!
Think the ones for the vette said 'corvette' on them, not 'chevrolet'. I see the ones you have from time to time at swapmeets going for about $50 and up depending on condition.
