Default How hot is it running?

Just interested in what your temp gage shows during a normal drive, say 5-15 min.

Ill start

Mostly stock 1980 L48
The needle is just under the middle bold mark (i guess thats 200*)?

My 80 runs right at about 200-210

I would say thats about 180-190 thats good

1974 with 1973 truck block 400 bored to 406.AFR alm. heads Dewit rad hooker side mt headers with sweet thunder 2 3/4 inserts,mech fan ,7blade, 4 speed, twin Elderbrock 500 carbs,Elderbrock alumium water pump,etc,temp runs at 180 day and nite fast or slow all day long,verified by two diff.thermal thermometers. John

1977 L48, new coolant, recent ambient temps in the uppers 70's to low 80's.

5-15 minutes from 160-170 degrees, local driving

15 minutes+, highway, etc. 190+/-

77 with BB rad. runs @ 180 all day long.

My 75 runs around 190.
No thermostat, and an electric fan (from a 97 Z-28)

My 1974 L-82 4 speed runs 195 all the time, even extended period of idle it only goes a little above 200, this is with 195 degree thermostat. Cooling system is 100%
