Just my .02.................. $18,500 for a 49,000 mile pacer is way out of line...............
There are many around that have between 2,000 - 5,000 miles
with every document you could imagine & then some. 100% original like time capsules in the low 20's ( UNMOLESTED )
Way too many were made, & are not as desireable as people thought they would be. My guess is the $12,000 to maybe $15K area but the market is W E A K as we S P E A K ..............

I don't want to be rude, but I think the price is high too, especially for a modified car with that kind of mileage. There may have only been 230 4 speeds made (no one really knows), but your car isn't one of them. The 4 speeds been installed in an automatic car. The block stamping will indicate to anyone who checks, that it was originally an auto, not one of the "230" 4 speeds. From what I've seen, the 4 speeds don't seem to command much of a premium over the autos anyway. A large percentage of the L-82s were 4 speeds, the L-48 4 speeds seem to be the rarest Pace Cars.
Your asking price would probably have been at the top of the market for similar cars 2-3 years ago, when the market was still strong.
I have the original auto trans and parts and they go with the car. As far as 4spd a larger percent were automatics. Only 7% of the entire 78 run were delivered with 4spd so you do the math.

KEYWORD: ORIGINAL
yours was installed.......aftwards......uhhh... that doesnt count !
The problem with customizing for performance, when you want to sell.....buyer's don't want it. If you can, restore as much to "stock" as you can for top dollar. Now you might get people asking if it's stick.....and desire a stick, but yours in stock form was auto. You can always tell a buyer you have the parts to convert to stick if they wish.
Don't ask me why, the market is based on the collector interest of original instead of the performance orientated.
Thanks. That's the way my ad reads. In 2001, after only being 5 block from the world trade center, 4 speed cars were very hard to come by. Most were in storage and didn't surface until 03 with the 50th anniversay. I couldn't see driving a corvette with a auto so I did the conversion with all correct parts. All the original parts & trans go with the car.
Unfortunately they are the victims of eBay and Barrett jackson hype. I know because I've owned one for years and knew it was no where worth the hyped 'value'. I bought it because it was different, and I still enjoy it for the same reason, lol nothing more

First off, I really doubt that you'll sell it for that price to anyone on here. I see vettes selling for prices locally that a lot of people on here consider over priced.
Personally, if it is being advertised as numbers matching and I am paying top dollar, I'd want the numbers matching parts installed. a uninstalled original tranny probably won't get such a high asking price unless it had been swapped for an OD tranny to improve mileage since this is a driver.
You need to do ebay or some other advertising where you'll get someone who just wants a vette and decides they like that one.
Run a search on pics, they're easy to put on here and that might help

Short and to the point. Those two statements tell you as much as you need know about the Corvette market in general and the Pace Car market in particular.
You can get away with modding other collectable Chevies but not a Corvette.
