I've had my corvette for a while and just found this forum so hello! I'm wanting some recessed headlights for my car so I don't have to deal w/ the flip ups failing and I really don't want to do the electric motor install. I found the GTO headlight package but with the clear covers it's almost 1000 dollars...wtf? Is there another company that offers me some kind of option? Thanks!
I like this look too, but am concerned about how low to the ground the lamps are. How well could they possible throw light down the road. I am collecting parts to build projector beams in place of the pop-ups but recessed in the normal openings.
not my car but i would love to do something like this
I believe this is Rolling Thunder's Corvette. Ironically there is another thread discussing almost the same thing you are. It is titled "Headlight Mod"... you might want to read that one too. They discuss the legality question of lights below the bumper.
As far as anyone on this forum being upset if you hijack pictures of their vettes... I don't think anyone would be upset. I'm sure it's an honor to have someone like what you've done; and I'm sure Rolling Thunder would have been honored that you liked his work.

its funny that you said that i just saw that post and was goon reply
and id hope no one would be offended at a compliment
Purists love the "bug eyed" look..just because it's "stock" but it ruins the lines of a slick car, flip up lights were to meet legal height requiments not to look cool...
I have the molds for the Ecklers style recessed lights but you can find them cheap on Craigslist,
When you go to the quad square lamps the wiring is different to the stock quad round vette lights so you must rewire so they work correctly....
The lights in the grill like Rolling Thunder has look really slick but in this sue happy world if you had a night time crash you will get hosed with illegal lights....
