Ok so I have been trying to figure out how to set the clock in my 78 cassette radio and am stumped! I fail at my 10% rule. Rule is you gotta be 10% smarter than what your working with and I ain't. Anyone know how to do this? Looks like the stock cassette radio.
that is obviously not an OEM radio as they didn't contain a clock (least of all a digital one, lol). i would suggest you try to find out whose radio it is (mfg) and go to their web site. you might start by going to the various after market parts houses websites to see if you can match what they are selling to what you have and go from there as far as finding the owners manual and instructions. it might also help if you posted a picture of the radio here as someone might be able to ID it and save you the trouble of your searching for it.
The only factory radios with a digital clock, were in 81-82s. If by some chance someone replaced your radio with a factory 81-82 unit, the hour and minutes are set by pulling out the seek and scan buttons.
The hour is set by the scan button and the minutes are set with the seek button. Gently pull each button, out one at a time, until the correct hour and minutes are set.
That is the style I have in my 84. In the 78 it is different. The cover of the cassette inlet says Corvette that is why I am thinking it is an original style. I would upload a picture but not sure how

like both glen and i said originally, that is definitely not an OEM 78 radio as they were analog radios without any type of clock. the clock was part of the center instrument cluster (and was also analog). if you want to send me a picture of it (srs244@gmail.com) i'll post it up here for you if i can't ID it.

I have a Kenwood KRC3006 with a 10 disc changer (bought it about 12 years ago) that I will be sticking in my 79, so I dont have to cut the dash. Great radio that Ive had in a few cars and still works great. Plus, the good part it, NO cutting of the dash.
You should be bale to get the model number off your radio and download the original instructions.. Good luck
