At 15, I bought my first one. A 58, pretty rough, for around 300.00. My family had a shop, and I learned about working with fiberglass, interiour etc. It ended up metalflake blue, with cragers. This was around 70'

Bought my first Vette in 1983 at 17 years of age - 1975 L48 (165 HP) 
I can still remember my Dad's face when I brought it home, he never did like them (he was a Ford man). Been driving Vettes ever since - five Vettes later and still loving it

I was 17-18 I bought a BB convertible 72 for 1000.00 cash and traded a custom 78 Camaro I had built....I got sick stupid and traded the 72 for the biggest turd ever the Camaro pace car, 82 I believe,
Buying my 69 was in part to undo that mistake....only took 25 plus years....

My father gave me his 75 l48 when i was 17. At 37 i sold it due to the condition it was in(frame rot) and friends and family hounding me to finally get rid of it, so to much debate i sold it and figured i was done with the corvettes. As it turned out, 5 days later while looking for a mini van, I seen an 81 vette for $4000 and bought it instead($3000). The wife insisted, lol. I'm now hooked on vettes more then ever! I've driven a vette ever since i had my licence and to think i almost went a whole week without one! My daily driver is a beater and the wife has been wanting a minivan(2 kids)forever, so getting this 81 is almost as special as the one my dad gave me. I plan to give it to my son someday! Minivan next year.......or paint job!
