I am in search of the two large hoops that go behind the seats for my convertible 75.
I have searched the forum for similar threads and the www with no luck. I would like to know if anyone has a schematic or advice to build them myself or is that something that you have to buy? I have seen several pictures of them and they look really sharp. I dont need a professional roll cage I really just want them for the "look."
Maybe some of you have a set available already, for sale??
Yeah I have been looking at that one myself. The bare steel is 600 dollars. The chrome one is 1100. I wish I knew how shiny the bare steel one is cause 1100 for the chrome is rough.
They make a great product that is excellent quality and easy to install. the trouble is if you are tall it takes up about a solid 2" of backward seat movement or tilt back.
Do a search under my name and look for pics of my old red 69 vette where I modified the non-hoop version so I could fit back in my car again comfortably
At my local PC shop I have seen chrome powder coating on parts, it is just not as shiny. There is also a ceramic coating that they do which is a smooth looking satin silver (like headers) or dark grey, if you don't want the BLING but still make a statement.

Thanks for the tip. I am 6'3", definitely something to consider. I am fixing it up for my dad and he is 5'8" so at least he wont notice.
I have the Vetteworks ones on my vert. - they are very well made, had them painted silver from Dan's but they do limit access to the rear hatch. Shoot me an email and I'll send pics if you want.
