The 82 I use to own was loaded with the rarer stuff...CB/cassette radio, roof panel carrier, and gymkhana. It had all the other options as well. Since I sold my car, I've seen other 82 listed as having all options, but the don't have the CB or roof carrier.

You know if you look at how many C3's were built one could say any C3 is a rare breed! This would especially be true of the chrome bumper cars.

In the 1981 dealer album, on the page with available colors, for "24-Bright Blue Metallic" it says "Not Available", instead of having a sample color chip. The 81 bright blue was actually replaced with mahagony metallic, though mahagony was never listed in the dealer album.
The cover of the November/December 1980 issue of Corvette News has a picture of Corvette engineer Dave McClellan, CN editor Greg Zuccker and designers Bill Scott & Jerry Palmer; all standing behind the single Bright Blue 81 Corvette built. Inside the magazine, it says that the group pictured "show off the '81 prototype. (This color is not available on production models)." Below is that Bright Blue 81 on the Corvette News cover.

Everyone knows 79's aren't exactly rare, but as 79's go, mine is in the lower percentages. L-82, 4spd, gymkhana, and possibly the rarest C3 option of all, a working clock

My '75 vert (which I bought new) is a fully optioned car including the rear window defogger....it also has a very low serial number making it one of the first verts for public sale in MY 75.

My rarest would be the 3.70 Axle with only 985 issued.
