Power steering help!!!
Going Crazy ...I have a 81 , apparently the power steering pump was changed , I need to replace the pressure hose but the" correct" one pictured on the TOP doesnt fit into the pump, the protruding end makes it too long , the one that fits (bottom pic ) is the one I need but keep ending up with the same one .... anyone have an idea as to what hose I need ??? an old timer told me that the port where the hose screws into is actually a seperate fitting that can be changed ??? ... Dont want to change the pump to fit the hose ....

Thanks !!
BTW if anyone needs the hose on the top let me know ...just pay postage and u got it

The top hose looks like it's for an O ring fitting, the bottom is an inverted flare and they're not compatible. I'm not an expert on hoses but try the guys at Borgeson, they should be able to help you.

Sounds like someone has pulled a switcheroo on your pump. The 80-82 pumps took the o-ring fitting, while the earlier pumps took the flare fitting. The one that fits is actually intended for a big-block car which had the same pump, but had less clearance for the hose fitting.
If you need a hose let me know, I have them in stock.
