Default 1968 Rally Wheels Value

I need advice on what a set of 1968 15x7 C3 rally wheels, beauty rings, center caps and lug nuts are worth. The set is good to very good condition. I`d rate them 8 out of 10. One beauty has a slight rash on the edge but not very noticeable. I just took them off a 67 Chevelle I purchased. The codes are as follows:

K11 23FW
K14 23Fw
K16 12FW
K18 20FW

As always, I appreciate all opinions and advice.

Thanks,
Brian

I think AG coded wheels are correct for the '68 Vette, the FW rims were on the rest of GM's rally equipped cars if I'm not mistaken.

I checked the wheels again. No AG code. You`re most likely to know better than me. I was thinking of asking 300.00 for the set. Is this a fair price?

I googled the AG and FW wheels. The AG wheels are 68 Corvette.
The FW wheels were on the 69 Z/28, 69 Camaro with 4 WDB and the 70-72 Monte Carlo.

I had a set of AG wheels in perfect shape and had trouble getting rid of them @ $100. Good luck.

Hi Brian,
Are these wheels 14" or 15"?
I'd think there'd be more interest in the rings and caps. Are they production line Corvette or Camaro pieces?
Regards,
Alan

The reason I'm asking is that even slightly damaged production line trim rings have become quite valuable.

Alan,

The wheels are 15x7. To my knowledge they have always been a set. I perfer not to break them up. According to the FW code they are Camaro wheels. The caps look like the ones that were on my 77 C3.

Mike,
Just the wheels or did you also have the trim rings and caps?

Caps and rings, unless perfect, are not all that expensive. I sold 2 decent rings, original, for $30.....If they were AG wheels, $300 would be top dollar I would think (again, unless they were perfect or near NOS). You may want to try a Camaro Forum or god forbid.....Ebay (Ebay blows)........problem you may encounter is the cost of shipping. Good luck.

I bought the ralleys for my car and they are in in the 8 out of 10 catagory as well, the rears 15x8 and front 15x7. I checked and rears are originals from a corvette and fronts are originals from a camaro. Trim rings, center caps (3 spoke knock offs), and wheels plus they put them on the car for me all for $160. Then I sold my old wheels for $150 so I got $10 in my ralleys. Plus my tire guy can order new 15x7 ralley wheels for $65. Just food for thought, hope it helps you out

Hi Brian,
Again, 68-72 production line rings are very valuable to some people.
In certain judging the differences between production line rings and service replacements is considered.
I saw sets of 68-72 restorable production line rings going for $400 at Carlisle. Production line rings that were unmarred but only need polishing were even more.
It might be good to know what you have before you price them. The position of the clips relative to the hole for the valve stem and the cross section of the ring the clips are welded to, tell the story.
Over and out.
Regards,
Alan

Wheels only, the trim rings and caps are not unique to 68's so don't have as much value.
