What is the process for re-installing the springs on the electric windows of a 79?

I removed the regulator.

I can picture in my mind doing it while the regulator is in the car though. You can try. Window has to be in the full up position. Of course you need to take off the door panel and remove the access cover. Not sure you will be able to get the the window up enough without loosening off the top stops.

this picture says a million words. See how the spring clips on? You will need to power the window up or down just enough to get into place. thats even if its do-able in the car

I did one years ago in my 80 and if I remember correctly, it slipped on rather easy. Ecklers included a rivet, but didn't see the need to use it. It never popped off the remaining 3 years that I owned the car..
