thanks for the comments. didn't take the hood out in the sun, but you get the idea. Cars blocked again, doors are on and ready for paint. THe painter wants to wait until it warms up a little more here then he'll shoot it. Looking like next week should warm up enough.

Neal, don't be mad about the stripe! promise i didn't steal the idea from you.....it's from someone else on the forum.

thanks, he will prob paint one on yours...(I was just joking with you because our cars already look very similar, from wheels to the hood style to the stripe if you get one).he said he doesn't know he wants to mess with a nother full paint again. Hopefully I can get it on the road within a month or so after getting it back. Have you changed wheel studs out yet on on yours? I'm wanting to replace mine before I put the z06 wheels back on.

ok, I went over today and gave him a hand with a few things. He didn't want to drill the taillight holes in the rear bumper so I drew it up in cad and printed it out to scale and drilled them nice and pretty. Went ahead and made provisions for pulling the reverse lights and mounting 4 taillights across the back. (and wire them up like the outer lights)

Helped him jack up the car and tape everything. Should have some paint on it tomorrow!

couple of pics:

thanks again....Paint came out nice. 3 minor runs. The side came out nice and clean, the top had some little dust/junk specs in it. The runs can be cleaned up easily and hopefully most of dust with clean out once he states buffing on it. Rear bumper and trim is painted. All that's left is the side mirrors and assembly.

Car was sitting in the shade, but ya'll will get the idea for now:

not all together yet but here's a couple from saturday picking it up.....hood strikers arent' shimmed and on yet. excuse the cell phone pictures.

we had to oblong the holes for the new hood hinges and shim the mess out of it to level it up with the fenders.

put the wheels back on:
