The light on the console switch used to light, and the defogger worked, until about a month ago.
Now the light no longer works and neither does the defogger.
I'm just now getting an opportunity to look at it.
My shop manual mentions a circuit breaker, but I'm not sure which one it is, and what else it may control, to determine if the CB is still functional. Is there a way to reset it?
Is there a dedicated fuse someplace? I don't see one in the manual.
Chances are it's the fuse or breaker. The breaker is 35 amps and is in the fuse panel just above the turn signal flasher in the lower right corner. It's labled PWR ACCY. The fuse is the Guage fuse, 20 amp and is in the same horizontal row as the breaker on the far left side of the fuse block.

I'd start there...
Thanks for the response!
I'm thinking that if it's the breaker, some other things should still be working if the breaker is good. What are they?
Same thing with the gauge fuse.....All of my gauges are operating just fine..
More thoughts?

I'm not sure about the breaker, you could pull it and see if anything else doesn't work. If both those parts are good, (the fuse and the breaker) I'd check for power at the switch connector. If there's power there, I'd think it's the swtich itself.

Good luck!
The switch does need ground so make sure the black wires at the switch are grounded. I can't remember if the blacks are grounded through the harness or if they are grounded separately.
Possibly the connector just needs cleaned up.
