Default transparent t-top

have an 81 with transparent t-tops. am trying to find some kind of headliner to keep the sun out. ordered a headliner from ecklers. after receiveing the part it clearly stated that it would not fit transparent t-tops. didnt say anything about that in the catalog. cost me $40.00 shipping to find out they would not fit. complained to ecklers but they never did call me back. oh well, they just lost a customer.

i didnt see anywhere where it said not for transparent tops so these ought to be what you need. the first one is unpainted black ABS the second comes in colors. i hope these are what you need.

Both of the headliners listed in this link are for use in stock, painted tops, not the glass ones.

Years ago I think there was an aftermarket screen, or something that could be used as a sunshield in OEM glass tops. I don't know if they still are available. I'll do some checking when I get to my shop, and post if I find something.

thats what i mean, it doesn't say anything about them not fitting transparent tops thus i had to pay the shipping to return them of which i dont think it was my mistake.

Mid America has a static film that fits the transparent tops.

The optional factory glass tops (CC1) are tinted. Aftermarket plexiglass tops may not be tinted. Which do you have?

Get yourself some used T-tops and have them painted your color and use those.

I beleive that I may have exactly what you are looking for. I bought off of Craigslist after stating they were for a C5. After I received them I learned they are for the C3. They are brand new, and are indeed a sunshade for the 2 piece t tops. I paid $30 plus shipping. I would sell for the same price if interested. They appear to be a sturdy plastic covered with a nice black cloth on the inside. Also comes with instructions.

If there's an empty seat on that boat, I'll take it. Next big project after I get it road worthy.

Lots of members have made their own. I read a few threads a while back. Do a search. Some guys were just using thick black construction paper and cutting it to fit and using a suction cup kit to keep it in place or velcro. Some went a little fancier, but I think you can do it yourself and it can look pretty good.
