best quality interior
i am going to replace the leather seat covers,foam, and carpet on my 1979 and i am looking for some input on which vendors have the best quality interiors. Does anyone have any experience with interiors from Ecklers, Willcox, Zips, etc? i am also trying to decide among koolmat,hushmat,dynamat, etc. and would appreciate any input.

I just installed new seat cushion/cover assemblies in my 79 last week. I didn't really shop around and went with Eckler's. I got the 100% leather mounted on foam because I have had several C3s and never liked the leather insert and vinyl design.
I was pleased with the quality of the seats and I got them using a 20% discount. The cushions do seem to be a bit thicker than the old ones, but I attribute that to 31 years of wear on the old seats. I was happy with what I got anyway. I can post pics tomorrow if you want to see how they look.

You were asking about the "best quality" interior and I certainly could not disagree with the others that mentioned Al Knoch Interiors. I believe they have long been considered the best available. I have no personal experience with them though.
You also asked about other experiences with Eckler's, etc. So, these are pics of the seats that I put in this past week from Eckler's. I am satisfied with what I got for the price, but you may not be, since you asked for the best. I wasn't looking to show the car, so I wasn't looking for perfect. They are better than I expected though.

AFAIK there are only 2 choices: Al Knoch and Corvette America. Willcox, Ecklers, ZIP etc all sell the Corvette America ones.
I recently got mounted seat covers from Corvette America and I'm perfectly happy with them. They even custom made the 78-82 style covers in a '71 color.

BEIGE 79- just ordered new leather seats,door pales, console sides,as well as new carpet and hush mat from eckler's. they had a 20% off sale and i couldn't pass it up. soon i've got some work to do...

Please provide your findings regarding the interior kit you select. I am also in the process of researching seat replacements, door panels and carpet for my 79. I currently have the 2" bolster seats, what is the true difference in 2" vs 4" seats, does it make a difference which one I select as a replacement? I noticed Corvette America offered both (most other i.e. Ecklers, Mid America etc) however, Al Knoch does not appear to offer a choice. Also do the door panels offered by AL Knoch include the door handles/arm rest? It does not appear they offer the arm rest.
