So meet at Santa Monica Pier.....? Earlier the better ! We kinda need a big parking lot to all gather in......anyone know somewhere good for that near the pier ???

How many miles north are we planning to go ? Stops along the way ?

yes, i was down there yesterday and scooped us out a place for $1.00 per car to park... we will be there less than 1 hour.... i will post the pictures i took tonight and maps i have been working on....

were going Solvang! about 3 hr drive i think....

we so far will have about 3 other stops... working on the now, but one will be somewhere in Santa Barbara so we can cruse state street.... and pick up a few more C'3s....

we will lunch in Bulton .... Anderson's pea soup place i think.... Tom and BeeJay are working that end..... we will also need a parking place in Solvang..... anyone?????

Hey, I thought we were only cruising thru Solvang, but not stopping till we got to the Avenue of Flags in Buellton. I don't think there is a 50 car parking spot in Solvang that will be open mid day. (Maybe Chumash Casino upper level parking structure). If Solvang is a stop we should secure a parking lot, and just do lunch there. I think after leaving Buellton, everyone will be on their own anyways. So, some head back to LA, some head back north, and you and I take our wives back to Solvang for shopping.

I received a phone call back from Kathy with the Buellton Chamber of Commerce, She said we could park on The Avenue of The Flags and they would work with us on blocking off part of the Anderson's parking lot. We should have enough parking for everyone's rides with no problem. I'll call her mid to late February to confirm but she said there should be no issues. She did recommend getting there before the noon rush.

ok... meet in SaNTA MONICA aT ~8:00..... then leave to Da north....we have lunch and our big meet with north and south aT Buellton, then we drive down to
Solvang spend another hour and home.....think here.... Buellton 12-1:30... solvang 1:30-3~ home....???

Santa Monica to Buelton is about a 2 1/2 hour drive. Add a 30 minute stop in Ventura, another 30 minute stop in Santa Barbara, plus the cruise down State St. , would put you at the Avenue of Flags right at around 12:30. Perfect. Hang around for a couple or three of hours of lunch, BSing, admiring each others cars, and lying, should put everyone on the road around 3pm. Back in LA easy by 7pm.

Everyone should bring a Vette part they don't want or looking to sell. We could have a tailgate swap meet.
Chomp on sandwich, I'll give you $50 bucks for that distributor if it has a melonized gear, chomp on sandwich, Honey pass the potatoe (Quail spelling) salad please. Hey kidd, get away from that car, yes it is fiberglass, knocking on it won't tell you that.

Had a kid about 15 they other day ask me what kind of car it was....he was STUNNED to find out it was a Corvette....then asked me if it was "the new one"

The 96 Vette was brand new when he was born! I think the Ventura stop near the Camirillo outlets is a gas station. I might meet up with everyone there. If not, it will be Santa Barbara just before the State St. cruise. Yep, this is going to be a blast!

Las Posas exit (in Camarillo) has a chevron and a Mobil just off the exit ( <1/4 mile) if you take a right off the exit, (you can confirm via maps) I didn't see many other better spots, and can't recall anything really better than that from the top of my head. Also, Buellton has like 6 gas stations near Andersons Pea Soup

Put me in with Santa Barbara group ( I live in Santa Maria, but I could do a trip south earlier in the morning.) or maybe I'll just have to meet up with everyone there in Buellton.



p.s. I will probably be taking my jumper box because I know I have problems with my electrical getting started.
