I think the 1st is Sunday though...From the Texoma Corvette folks.. 3rd Annual 1st on the 1st Corvette Show which will be at The Finish Line Family Diner in Whitesboro, Texas at 1pm on Saturday, January 1st, 2012. The address for the restaurant is 113 E. Main in downtown Whitesboro. Join us for our tradition of food, fun & friends. There will be no rain/snow date, because it wouldn't be on the 1st. There will be one 1st Place award and five runner ups. There will be a $5.00 entry fee to offset the cost of the awards and dash plaques. While we sit inside and enjoy some good food the employees will choose the winners. Also bring your Hot Wheels for Hot Wheels Races. Inside the restaurant we will have Hot Wheels Races on his track.

OK.. Wanna set up a gathering spot and caravan to Whitesboro Sunday ?? Maybe near 380 and 289 / Preston ?? North on Preston to Whitesboro ??

Great turnout of Corvettes at "Morning Maniacs" breakfast this morning... Passed the word around about the "1st on the 1st" cruise / lunch tomorrow.... There is some "lightening bolt" poster that talks about showing up but no one ever sees him... hummmmmm Maybe next year ....

Unfortunately I am out for tomorrow morning.
You know I opened that Morning Maniacs Social Group so we could send an email out to everyone who joined, letting them know WF or La Mad. At least that is what I thought it would do, but it still just lets me send email to one person at a time?

I wish they woud do away with the front plate law. Several years ago my daughter got pulled over on I45 in Huntsville in her Formula for not having a front license plate by the DPS and all he did was give her a hard time and then let her go. Case of police harassment with young girl in red Firebird Formula. Listening to the news reporter interviewing the officier he mentioned he would still continue to exercise his right to pull folks over for not having a front plate and let the courts fight it out. Thats just wrong in my opinion

Saturday at breakfast the owner of "Friends of McKinney" asked if we could display some cars... Friday morning the 15th, 10 - noon.. Lunch afterwards optional ... They are a day center for adults with Alzheimer's or other memory related issues... The average age of the members is 80 so seeing the cars of their pasts might be interesting for them.... The Texoma Club is holding their "1st on the 1st" show JAN 1 in Aubry. It will be held at "Moms' on Main St." ... First Corvette show on the first day of the year, 5th year to do this. All Corvettes welcome ...
