Default Need help with a front end/steering problem....

72 small block, 60 series radials mounted on new stock rims the body was off of the frame and back on before I got it

When I turn the wheels to the lock either direction, the tires hit the front bottom of the fender at the wheel opening. The front end has been completely rebuilt, new ball joints, new control arm bushings...when the wheels are turned hard to the right, the outside of the left tire hits the fender....opposite when turned the other way. AND the upper control arms are not centered in the inner fender opening where the arm sits...(almost acts like the body needs to be moved forward on the frame)

The front supports (bumper, radiator, nose) have been out for awhile. I just got a fresh motor installed and have been thinking maybe the nose dropped causing this. Since the rad spt is now back in and the point of the nose is about where it should be, I have to look somewhere else to solve this....and I need help.

Is it possible that the control arms were installed on the wrong side??
they were rebuilt before I purchased...
As stated above, moving the body forward on the frame will solve the front end problem but the rear wheel sits perfectly centered in the rear wheel opening...Move the body forward and then realign the rear end??? thoughts??? anybody???

How wide are the tires. I seen some with 255x60's that fit and some rubbed. I had 255's rear and 235's front on my 72 BB, no problems.

I have 255/50/17 on same wheel centerline on my front, I limited the steering radius because of FRAME/SWAY bar rubbing, but not fenders....I suspect a control arm issue, easy to swap r/l on them....

my car is on the ground/driveable now, so I can't help with measurments to see what if....
