I am going to be replacing my seat covers and wanted to see if what people did about the seat backs(I have black interior). Do most people just paint theirs?? I would rather save the money. And if so what paint did you use.
Twenty years ago I was in the same situation. I decided to lightly sand any scratches and paint. I used, at that time, Bondo brand black bumper paint. It is semi gloss and kind of thick, (hides the scratches very well), but it's still there and still looks great.
I just did a search. They still make it. Search: Bondo Mar-Hyde Corp. 4911 Black Bumper Coating 12 oz. Aerosol

Hi Mark,
I repainted mine too.
Be carefull about doing any other work on them besides paint/dye. It's VERY easy to lose the 'grain' that's molded into the plastic and it's VERY tough to re-create. You can really see any 'flat' spots once they're painted.
Regards,
Alan
