Put a bolt through with fender washers and a nut. Once it's in, remove the bolt.
I installed autoglass professionally for about 15 years back in the 70's and 80's.
Saw a guy lose a thumb on a regulator coming apart.

I won't disagree but getting a bolt through the hole in the regulator is pretty tough when the reg is installed. Why when the reg arms are attached to the glass and the reg is mounted to the door frame and the spring is basically maxed out would you need to put the bolt in unless your removing the reg ?
