I need interior halp!!! 1978 vette
Hello all. I have a 1978 corvette, and I want to paint the top dash piece as well as the top strip in the back (both black). I need info how to remove and suggestions on how to paint. Please halp

just a suggestion, but you should get a hold of a 1978 AIM (assembly instruction manual) and it will show you how everything was assembled. it seems to me that i remember having to remove the pad front before being able to get to the dash top (but it was a long while ago). as for painting, there are many good interior paint products on the market. i suggest you try doing a search here on "interior paint" it should provide you with all the information you could want on the subject.

The dash must be bent to be removed. That makes it very easy to crack. Guess how I know? If I were doing it again, I'd remove all screws and loosen the dash but not remove it. Mask the interior, clean & prep the dash, and then spray the dye while the dash is in the car. By the way, my new dash cost less than $300 (Ecklers 20% off sale). Well worth the money. Kind of glad I cracked the dash.
