Iv'e decided to put new tires on my 75. Going with Firehawk P255/R6015. I like the looks of the Cragar SS, but noticed that there is a new version out that not only resembles them but looks as nice or nicer. Does anybody have these on a C-3 and who makes them? Also with the 255 tire what width should I go with? Or should I stay with the Cragars?

A model number would help...so we know what wheel you are referring to...as to the tire size and width of rim....your tire size is fine....to keep a more stock look stay with the 15" X 8" rims. JMO.
My '76 has Cragars and it has two spacers (1/4 and 1/8) to allow it to clear the calipers. Because there are two spacers it is very difficult to put the wheels back on. Aligning them so you can get the bolt through is a real PITA. Maybe newer Cragars are designed differently to clear the calipers but I would like to change my wheels just to get rid of the spacers.
One thing to watch out for is the old brake backing disks and the calipers. I put foose wheels on my '77. The problem with switching wheels to an open type is that you can see all the stuff inside. If it's pretty, they pop, if it's original, rusty and stained, it can detract.
Cragar makes the same Cragar S/S wheels in 17 inch now, I have seen them on one C3 and they looked awesome. I do not know if you would need to use any spacer or if you could just get the correct off set. If you are looking to do Cragar's, these would be the way I would go.
