Is your water pump original to your car? If so then have it rebuilt. If the pump is not original I would just get an original style pump a local parts store. Unless your producing some major horsepower and heat I don't see the need for anything fancy. With the exception of a hydraulic roller camshaft my '72 454 is all stock and the original pump cools the engine just fine.

I had my original radiator "re-cored" several years ago with an aluminum core. So far so good and I do believe the cost was less than $200. Having your radiator re-cored may depend on how good the radiator services are in your area. The local guy around here is quite good so I let him re-core it. The cost of a replacement radiator may be dictated by how much money you'd like to spend. Those things are pricey!

I would get my master cylinder locally if I were you. As for the windshield wiper motor, I'm afraid I don't have a recommendation because I've never had to fool with mine. I'd try the local parts stores first. If I didn't have any luck there, then I'd try one of the contributing sponsors that advertise here. I get 99% of all my parts from Volunteer Vette Products.

Good luck.

You can use your local, generic auto parts places, or any of the Corvette aftermarket providers.

Have your original radiator recored.

Copper and brass was stock. Aluminum would be up to you.

Compare prices at all of them, then take your pick. You may want to consider a provider close to where you live; makes shipping a little cheaper.

Some of the vendors that consistently get good reviews from customers in posts here are:
Zip Products
Paragon Corvette Reproductions

Willcox
Give them a try!

Default Thanks for the info

I just purchased the car, I have not taken out the water pump yet. I am not sure if it is original or not.I guess I will google to find out how I can tell.
I saw some oriiginal style pumps, some from NAPA that say they are reconditioned,Water Pump - Remfd
Product Line: Remanufactured Water Pump
Comments: w/ 5/8" Shaft;w/ Casting # 3992077;w/ Standard Pump;Cast Iron Housing
Per Car Qty.: 1 and one from Ecklers say new 20.00 more, manufacuted by Ac/Delco
[I]Corvette Water Pump, With 3/4" Shaft, Big Block, ACDelco, 1971-1974
Stock Replacement
This stock replacement water pump is manufactured by GM or by one of its authorized suppliers for use as a factory replacement part. You will find the fit, finish and function meets all GM specifications.
Thank you for the tip on the radiator, I have a local radiator repair shop, I have not taken it to him yet, but I belive he said it would be 3-4 to get it recored.
I could get a new one from corvette specialties for 379.00 Problem is I dont know who makes it and if it came from china!!!
Thanks again for your help I found the master cyclinder for 50% less on NAPA
