T-top conundrum
I'm about to pull the trigger on a weatherstrip kit for the 1977. It's a late car with the alarm switch in the driver's door lock. My tops both have two latches, but I don't think they came from the same car as one is painted red, the other chocolate brown.
I'm confused about how exactly to ID the early vs late weatherstrips, and I would hate to order the wrong kit....help me please!

What is the cut off from early to late on the 77s? If I remember correctly mine was a march baby and has it has the alarm lock in fender and I believe it has 13 pins or so in the weather stripping on the tops. Would that be early or late?

Early production cars had the alarm on the fender, I don't know what month the change took place. T-tops interchange readily up until the later single latch ones, so unless you're certain the tops on yours are original to the car it is best to look. Early weatherstrip had 19 pins, late 18.
