One of our club members had his '62 restored by Jamison's Corvette in Charleston SC and they did a great job. Expect it to take longer than what you want though. Here's a link to their website:

http://www.jamisoncustomcorvette.com/CompanyHistory.asp

Good luck and take plenty of pictures of the progress of your restoration.

Just one guys opnion....

Is you car that bad that it needs a "Frame Off"?

Are you looking to build a 100 point # matching car or just a very nice driver/local show type?

If you don't have some deep emotional attachment to the Vette then sell it and buy one in the condition you like. You'll save a boat load of cash and a ton of frustration.

I've also heard a lot of good things about them. Not going to be cheap, but the job will be done right.

I had a shop put the interior in my 71 and was told it would cost around 2500 it ended up about 5000. I had supplied the interior so to do a frame off would be very expensive. The shop that did my work was talked about on this thread.

I've seen a number of the cars he has restored and they all look like they are still sitting in the dealers showroom.

I know this company. Great people to deal with. A solid 100% satisfaction rating. and they have cars shipped in from Florida or anywhere in the United States. I guarantee you, you won't be disappointed ! Just ask to talk to Jim S. and he is one of the nicest and Corvette knowledgeable guy's on the East Coast. They taken car of all three of my Corvettes for the last 16 years. Never a problem and they make sure your #1 and they listen to you. Just a great company and wonderful folks. 610-696-7888

For my money I would go to Tony's Corvette in Gaithersburg, MD.

When I cannot do something that is where I go.

He is the best and has gone something like 60 for 60 or 80 for 80 on first attempts to Top flight.

Bill
+1 for Tony's. Taking my '03 there in a few weeks for some new valve springs and some other odds and ends. When I took my '74 to him about a year ago for a full eval, he gave me a complete tour of his shop, including the areas where they were doing a frame up. Very impressive and like said above, he's never missed on a Top Flight on first pass if that's what you're looking for.

$70K to $80K on average? Plus the original cost of the vehicle?
Gotta be for love of the car. I can't imagine getting it back any time soon even if it were a rare version.

Ditto. If I had enough money to take it to anyone else, I'd buy all the equipment to do everything myself and have money left over. But, when it comes to my Corvette, I only trust....ME.
