I had a set of the plastic ones from Brute ( Silver Color ) that I bought from AutoZone a few years ago. They worked really well for everything except my Corvettes. About a year ago, I bought the 2 piece 56" RaceRamps from California Car Cover Co. Cost a little bit of $$, but work great on the Vettes and my other cars.

I had made myself out of 2 x 10 treat lumber a set of ramps but heavier than hell. Last summer picked up the Race Ramps and the show special, no shipping and can't recall if it was 10, 15 or 20% off retail. Nice and lightweight and they don't slide!

I am not sure who sells these in the US but they are available in the UK and Australia for about $300.00

They get the car up nice and high and you can put your car on no matter how low it is as they go almost flat when down.

Easy to drive on to without someone watching if your going on straight etc.

I purchased these quite a few years ago probably from one of the large catalog companies....they're ok but I like what CraigH is using.
CraigH, do you have a manufactures name?

I have the same ones that Jerry has. I think I bought mine at Pep Boys. I am sure they are cheap because I am too. The only problem I have with them is it is a little scary using them because you need enough power to get up the ramps, but then you are scared of driving over the front. I put a tall cardboard box in front, so I know when I am in the right spot, but the whole process is a little hairy. I have been known to jack up the front and slip the ramp under the raised front wheel.

I also have a set of smaller, all plastic, cheaper ramps that were basically a waste of the little I paid for them.

They dont have a Manufacturer name but are sold in Australia by RADUM.

http://www.radum.com.au/catalog/prod...oducts_id=8099

I also saw them on UK sites more than anywhere else.

They have safety latches that lock them in the full up position.

Each side can be independently lifted or lowered.
