Default 75 door fit problem

i noticed my doors gaps are pretty good and the doors open and close good but the lower rear edge of both doors when closed are in farther than the quarter by about 3/8 inch.i saw three other 75 vettes that had the same problem.one of the owners said he owned the car since new and said g.m. new of the problem and they would fix it back then but he declined.so he told me to fix it i would have to unglue the quarter panel and push it in farther to meet the door edge.its only from the middle of the door on down to the rocker.is this right, has anyone had this same problem.im pulling the body off the car soon to redo the chassis and would like to fix this problem before painting the body.

You can twist the door, I did it also.

Never really looked at mine. I will have to check it out next time I am at the garage.

I've been told the same thing BUT only as a last resort when all other efforts have failed.
