Default Getting Back To It

Finally taking 5 days off in March. Will be heading to Stan's (2dnGenerationRestoration) in Walpole, MA. Plan is to finish stripping the paint, prepare and remove the body from the frame.

Here's what it looks like as it sits at Stan's shop.

Peter, thanks for posting pics. Keep the restoration photos coming. Stan's work is second to none: I can't wait to see the finished project.

I'm jealous, I almost wish I was just starting my build and knew how much I'd end up spending. I'd have just dropped it off at Stan's!

I feel like a kid getting his first two wheel bicycle. The great thing is, Stan is allowing me to do all the work I can and will be showing me things like the proper way to make fiberglass repairs. I will be doing all the mechanicals. I am sure I will be farming out some items like the TA's, steering box blue printing and powder coating of the frame along with the machining of the motor. I guess the list could go on. I would also like to thank this forums members for their support and encouragement. I will post progress pictures as it comes along. A big step in the process is the week I will be at Stan's. This I feel is a turning point for me. Getting the frame home and leaving the body is huge in my mine.

To Be Continued.

Very Cool! I am jealous that you have the opportunity to spend a week at Stan's shop. I have visited him there, and it is like when I was little and I went into the toy store(but with not enough money to buy much).. Hey! Some things haven't changed!
Stan is first class, and he does work that is second to none. I love showing friends his 'reflections' gallery on his website-it always blows them away when they see his paint and body work.
Have a great week, and take lots of pictures!!
