Rechroming Side Pipe Covers

Was wondering if anyone has ever had the 69 style shields rechromed and what it cost to do.

The EPA has really cracked down on chrome shops (it is a fairly nasty process). There is a spray paint system you can buy and do it yourself plus the results aren't bad. You won't get a 100% new look but it is a whole bunch cheaper than rechroming or buying another set./:\

I have not had it done yet by I have a set waiting to go soon. I called (as many do here) Librandi in PA. I think the estimate was around $900 for the whole set. I called Paul's Chrome and they wanted $1500....

Hi,
When I checked, the cost was about the same as the cost for new covers, not including the insulators, (which are about as much as the covers themselves).
