Thanks for posting this info as I just picked up the 68 coupe I spent about 3-4 years looking for and will be selling my 73 coupe in about 1 month.

No surprises here.....The problem that I see with the current market is.....That most sellers have an average car but, want show ready prices, because the paint is new, or it has a new interior.

I was not privy to the entire article...but...I will say this....If, a seller is asking show ready pricing....the car better have had undergone a full body off / frame off resto for my monies.

The average pricing seems to fit better with most of the cars on the market today....without the add on adjustments. JMO!!!!!!!! Take what you like and then throw the rest away!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay in tune.....

Coupe prices are way too high. They are simply not selling for that kind of money.

And if the writer of that article wants to give me $58k for my show ready 69 350hp roadster, tell him I'll pick him up at the airport and buy him dinner first!

At least they left out the V6 and Rally Sport options available on NADA

What is striking for 1974 and 1975 is the wide gap in price between coupes and convertibles. It is not so pronounced in earlier years. Why that is so is beyond my understanding....

I don't see anyone paying $19,500 for an '81, but I hope they do someday.

I know about the Pace Car, but I thought all others 78's (including T-Tops) were Silver Anniversary models. Why is the model with T-Tops so much lower.

Tho all '78's have the 25th Anniversary badge, the SA was indeed a "limited production" special edition.

All '78s have T-Tops (coupe).

For 75 it is usually described as the last available year of the "old" convertables. Not sure why 74 - maybe the 2nd to last year?

Got that issue sitting on my coffee table.
I honestly doubt that if offered top dollar for my '75 that I'd take it.
I've sold too may things in life that I've been kicking myself for and I've learned from my mistakes.

Why no premium for AC in '68 and '69 cars?

A 69 427/400 with a/c is very desirable and is priced accordingly.I read these price guides, but do not put much stock in them.

The silver anniversary was little more than a paint job, on a std coupe. the pace car was different of course - and as said before - ALL C3 corvette coupes had t-tops

Why is the 78 base the least valuable? I don't have one, just wondering. I do have an 81 4 speed with alloys and paid no where near the TLC price. I guess I got a deal from the owner who needed some cash fast. 5k and I drove away, sometimes you just get lucky. Al

In the "Old Cars Report Price Guide", the prices are a reflection of the average of previous years "reported" private sales and collector car auctions.
I don't see those numbers in it and would use it for a guide before a magazine.
