Aldo, I'm sure that your reply is sincere, however I was making a political joke.
The "jackass" who currently occupies our White House once made the mistake of saying that there are 57 states in America, when EVERYBODY knows it's actually 50.....
Hummmm..........maybe thats a leak of information? US acquires seven more states?
L88 just in the USA ?
i have pictures of a 69 L88 imported in Italy in 1969 by the father of present owner. the car misses the build sheet but there are no fake L88 makers in Italy...
I know of a 68 L88 too in Holland
And one here in finland. It's a black 69 coupe with all the docs.
I would not bet money on that. If indeed true, then somebody is at the very least foolish to modify an extremely rare and valuable car, then drive it around the streets of Italy and not even bother to clean the engine bay. Must be nice.
Look what showed up at the Sunshine Corvette Club annual spring meet today. This '68 L88 has original paint and IMMACULATE interior, unrestored with only 3900 miles on the odometer. Back in the day, it was only drag raced (with several other motors and open headers) and never street driven. Now it has the original matching numbers motor with exhaust manifolds back in, the exhaust sytem installed and is only occasionally driven. Took a trip last year via enclosed trailer to Bloomington for the L88 reunion...where it was welcomed with open arms. Runs on period correct American Racing mags and Hoosier racing tires and drinks lots of C12 race fuel. The original 7" rally wheels and F70-15 Polyglas tires on this car were a joke.
This is what the engine compartment looked like when it left the factory. The aluminum heads still have original factory overspray on them. I could point out many things, but you be the judge.
