When you are done with the above, you can drive her on down to Joppa, MD and then you can drive my 66 Nova SS home. I might even take pity on you and throw in a couple grand!!!!!!!!
I've been driving for the last couple of weeks here on Cape Cod Snow is gone and the roads are clear and dry. Clocks go forward today. My favorite time of year. I just put 4 new shocks on the 68 and a nice coat of polish. I am ready to go
Same here in teh Lowell MA area.
I tuned up the car last Saturday & drove it all weekend.
Took it out again today, 50's & tomorrow will be the same.
My plans for the spring, it goes in my pals shop for new paint next month.
I'm gonna order a new interior from Willcox & am getting some new rims.
Also looking at some underhood bling as well.
That's pretty much all it needs.
I've got to do something with carb, either replace it or rebuild it, and getting duals on it this week finally. Few more things left to do but those 2 are the main things I want to get done before I start driving it much this year.
I'm ready, but my car isn't ... I thought I'd be ready for spring with my frame off that I started in November...
The chassis is ready, but I'm just starting on the body.. it seems like a lot bigger project than I expected.. I'm guessing 4th July now... enjoy the spring guys! Atleast I've got my harley to hold me over
I said that same thing two years ago and still haven't mated the body and chassis together yet. So after 2 spring time arrivals, I couldn't take it anymore so I bought my 71 to drive as the 69 was undergoing the facelift.
hydroboost, sidepipes, new rag joint, replace the entire vacuum system, new parking brake hardware, O ring calipers, and finally get around to replacing the POs rubber fuel line with a metal one..
Here in cny winter is not over but I am ready. After 3 1/2 years of a total restoration on my 68 coupe and completing late late fall i did not get a chance to really drive the car, so needless to say the spring itch is here
Just finishing up my rear suspension. Still need to install shocks, connect spring to TAs, paint and install calipers and pads, install front to rear brake line and bleed, finish polishing my wheels and get tires mounted. A lot of it will happed this week. Hope to be on the road by April 1.
Jeff -i only use the V2K if i'm leaving the city...(this will be her 7th season)
the Hotrod , for around town is best , because dealing with the stupids (cagers) light-weight is better...
Pete.
Awesome pic Pete! I understand the 800 in town, they are made for that, as is the V2K for the highway! I have toyed with doing an 800 bobber like Craig for sometime, right now you can get them cheap. But I think I would like to make it a little more dirt tracker looking. They are fun little bikes. Is the hotrod still a hardtail? Or did Bill put the shock back on before you bought it?
My to do list is pretty long. I probably won't be on the road until late May with this list:
- Install the hydraulic clutch kit from Keisler
- Instal the new diff I picked up today from Paul at Northside Corvette
- Clean up the rest of the rear end
- Keisler RS500 PerfectFit kit
- Install a complete AC Delete kit
- Replace the body mounts (yuch!)
Went out to the garge yesterday and started to install a vintage air kit and while it's apart new carpet and door panels and I hope that's all but you know how that goes!!!
