I've been driving for the last couple of weeks here on Cape Cod Snow is gone and the roads are clear and dry. Clocks go forward today. My favorite time of year. I just put 4 new shocks on the 68 and a nice coat of polish. I am ready to go
Hi East,
I'm most of the way along in installing under-car exhaust in preperation for having the car flight judged this Fall.
As with everything I do it's turned into a bigger job than I thought it would be.
I still check the skycam at the Soo everyday!
Very good to talk to you!
Regards,
Alan

I pulled the 72 out of the garage last weekend for the first time since December. Started right up - gotta love 21'st century technology. Have to finish C5 seat install and wiring, finish Cable-X box hookup for the speedometer and get the front part of the exhaust pipes fabricated.
The car is driveable as it is but these items (and many more) will get it closer to completion.
I need to change out my heater core, it started leaking on the last ride in the fall. While the dash is out, I have a factory oil temp gauge that will go in place of the clock and be used for trans temp. I also have a later C3 volt meter to replace the ammeter. And I may as well modify the shifter so I can get the 200-4R into 1st gear.
I have to replace the windshield, nicked it with the wipers when I first put it in and a big crack developed.
I also want to tweak the stainless exhaust just past the headers as they hang to low. Not looking forward to this, but I should do it before the season for driving is upon us.
I, too, have a small list of things to do when spring finally arrives. Here outside of Buffalo, N.Y. that doesn't happen for another month. I drove out to my hunting camp outside of Attica, N.Y. today, and there was still over a foot of snow in the driveway. Thinking spring this early for me is very wishful thinking. If you have nice weather, please enjoy it for me.

What's on your "to do" list to get the Vette ready for action?
Me, I just un-covered the old girl and fired her up. AWESOME!
I have to fix a fuel leak, adjust the windows, preplace the speedo cable, change the oil, grease the chassis and then start polishing.
How about you?
Alan71, is this the year she comes out to play?
Drove mine the last two days. Over the winter I replaced all rubber lines and hoses since I had no idea how old they were. I put on a SS braided synthetic fuel line with AN fittings. Had it tinted (long story on another thread) but now the blower won't run, gotta check the fuse and it has an oil leak from the top back of engine, I suspect the oil pressure sensor, will try to remedy those tomorrow. But she is running great and weather is perfect! Rode 150 miles on the motorcycle today, sitting here in the house right now with the windows open, it is a perfect 65 degrees! Upper 70's all next week!
I have a Dewitts rad and dual fans to install.
I also bought a 100amp alternator to help power the fans.
I also ordered a Speeddirect spreader bar.
Finally, I want to paint her. The last time it was painted was 1985.
Just had mine aligned last weekend in prep for a 600 mile round trip to Myrtle Beach next weekend to the Run to the Sun car show. That show is basically a welcome to spring every year for me.
Pete, I opened the V2K up today!! Man did it ever feel good!!!! I swapped and rode my buddy's 900 for a while but the V2K is where it's at. I know you the 800 as well don't know how you ride it with the V2K sittin there! LOL
I'm putting my Corvette hunt in full gear. I Went to look at an '82 today and going to look at a '80 factory 4 speed tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that's its going to be a good one.
I'm ready, but my car isn't ... I thought I'd be ready for spring with my frame off that I started in November...
The chassis is ready, but I'm just starting on the body.. it seems like a lot bigger project than I expected.. I'm guessing 4th July now... enjoy the spring guys! Atleast I've got my harley to hold me over

East,
When you are done with the above, you can drive her on down to Joppa, MD and then you can drive my 66 Nova SS home. I might even take pity on you and throw in a couple grand!!!!!!!!
I got my '77 in August of last year, so this will be my first full season! I'm aiming for an April 1st drive.
Currently working on sprucing up the engine bay, removing emissions, adjusting the timing, checking all of the vaccum tubes, replacing the rear window seal (have you ever seen a boot lace used as a window seal? Someone should tell Bubba that doesn't work! ), oil change, and hopefully thats it! But I'm beginning to see how the list can quickly get out of control...
